Trailer: ‘Built for Tomorrow’ (2026)
Synopsis
Young Australians are told that they are the future.
But do they genuinely have a voice in shaping it?
As the world faces increasingly complex challenges, governments everywhere are wondering how they can best protect their national security.
In the last five years, Australia has suffered devastating natural disasters, cyberattacks, economic crises, and regional aggression, leaving many feeling as if the nation is unprepared for a future crisis.
Nobody is feeling this more than young people. They know that the future is already here.
Journalist Lucy Lamb sits down with young professionals and industry experts to uncover what young people feel our leaders should be preparing for. The film brings together testimonies on the AI debate, the role of gender inequality in worsening a national crisis, and fears surrounding a future global health pandemic.
Built for Tomorrow shows that young Australians are well-positioned to advise on modern-day security challenges and asks how more youth voices can be brought to the policymaking table.
Because the decisions made today will shape the world they inherit tomorrow.
